Room 6 had a great time at the Aquatic Centre over the past 2 weeks. All of the children tried so hard in their lessons and the improvement they all had was just amazing! I was so proud of them all. After each lesson, we also did water safety lessons in the wave pool. These included floating with different plastic containers such as buckets, ice cream containers and milk bottles. We also learnt how to pull someone in using a noodle and a rope. Next was treading water which many of the children struggled with at the start but soon improved and could then do it for over a minute. We also wore life jackets and got to jump off the edge of the pool into the deep end. Learning about water safety is very valuable to the children and we had great discussions about it.
